Issue:
Science Technology & Society of The University of Texas created a web site that highlighted stories where technology made an impact on the Indonesian tsunami disaster of December 2004. STS wanted a poster series to promote the research presented on their Tsunami & Technology website and heighten awareness of the STS program.

Solution:
I provided multiple designs and created iterations based on stakeholder feedback. The final design was visually bold to attract attention. The concentric circles further created a sense of chaos and energy as well as creating a connection to seismic activity and waves.

The supplemental elements in the design mirror the web site's categories and are carried through in the other posters in the series. Color highlighting reinforces web site conventions and assists in identifying the subject matter of the supplemental posters.

It was created in Adobe Illustrator using full color and composite printed on an oversize color plotter.
